Here’s the brutal truth about being happy:

There are WAY too many people in world today that think “wealth” is enough to make you happy.

They say, “if I buy that latest car right now, I will be happy”.

If only it were that easy…

If you’re serious about being TRULY happy, you need to be very systematic with how you do things and more importantly, how you think.

That's because, happiness is psychological.

Well today I’m going to show you 5 WORKING and completely simple strategies that will turn your life around and have you smiling from ear to ear everywhere and every time.


1. Attend a Stand Up Comedy or Watch a Very Funny Video

When was the last time that you laughed out VERY loud without minding those little courtesies that you strive so hard to observe?
If you haven't done that in a while, then you should do that right away!

Reach for your phone right now, open your YouTube app and start enjoying the tons of funny videos that you could lay your sight on.

My favorite YouTube channels that I visit whenever I want to laugh are Markangel Comedy, Nigahiga and College Humor. These YouTube channels produce high and engaging videos.

And when I say that, I mean the kind of videos that get your entire body rocking from side to side as a result of laughter. You can check them out later.

Apart from watching videos, if you have the money to buy the tickets for stand up comedy show by popular comedians, attend it.

If you go to popular comedy shows like AY LIVE or the Goddamn Comedy Jam, you will never regret any single penny you spent in buying the ticket.

Does laughter make you happy?

The answer to that is a very big "yes". Laughter is capable of making you happy. And science had proved that through a lot of researches and case studies.

In fact, if you are someone that have a good dose of laughter each day, it will be hard for you to feel sad or depressed.

2. Put Your Time Into Good Use

Believe it or not, the ways that we make use of our time affects how happy we are.

If you keep postponing what you are supposed to do until the eleventh hour, you will find out that the results that you will get from that wouldn't be as good as what it should be.

Apart from the low performance, you will be also stressed. And being more stressed means bring less happy.

What does that mean for you?

Instead of watching one whole season of Game of Thrones in one sitting, you should go and do that laundry that you have been planning for a long time now.

This doesn't mean that you should sacrifice everything that you enjoy. Not at all. In fact if you do that, you are very much likely to become less happier.

What I am trying to say is that you should structure your time. A well planned day make you focused on achieving your goals.

Setting up alarms or using other time management apps can be quite useful for this purpose.

At the day that you accomplished all the things on your timetable, there's a kind of happiness that you will feel just as you are about to go to sleep.

3. Recite a Mantra That Will Make You Think Positively 

Did you know that the type of words that come out of your mouth can deeply affect your feelings?
Yes it does! It has even been illustrated with a movie titled "The Three Idiots".

So, formulate a group of words that are highly inspiring to help you to come out of any kind of mental rut. These short sayings that use to inspire yourself  are also called " mantras".

 Mantras are very useful in fighting depression and sadness and reduce worrying.
Examples of mantras that you could start using today are "all is well", " I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" e.t.c

4. Spend Time With People Who Are Happy

Do you want to be happier? Then, find out and hangout with your neighbours and friends who always have this air of positivity and good feeling around them.

Their good vibes will definitely help to overshadow your sadness and depression. That's because of the fact that happiness is contagious.

Psychologists had proved that the type of people of people that surrounds you affects your behavior and even your emotions.

Some therapists had even recommended it as the best and the easiest way to be happy.

4. Never Deprive Yourself of Sleep

You will become continually sad if you are among the group of people that think that sleep is a waste of time.
 This increasing sadness could be attributed to the stress levels that are rising each day that you failed to have a good sleep.

You might think that you're being more productive by doing that but that's not the case.
 In fact, the less you sleep, the more the quality of your work will reduce. And also, you will find out that you find it hard thinking clearly.

Try to get 6 to 7 hours of sleep each day so as to help avoid feeling depressed and sad.

5. Eat a Good Meal and Exercise Yourself

I have never seen a sick man who is happy. Therefore, you can only be happy if you are healthy. What that implies is that you should make sure that what you eat and how you exercise are beneficial to your body.
Try to reduce or completely stop the amount of junk food that you take in daily. If your favorite food is not among the type of food classified as healthy, you should take it once in a while.

Exercises can also help to increase your overall happiness. A recent scientific research has revealed that not engaging in any physical activity is one of the primary causes of depression. This is a result of the lack of the release of hormones called endorphins which helps us to feel good. So, why not move your body?

6. Read an Inspirational Book: 

Whenever you start having some emotional downtime, pick up an inspirational book and read.

Before you even get to the one - third of the book, your confidence and happiness will dramatically increase.

That's because of the polished philosophical and wise words commonly found in such books.

If you ask most of the great achievers that you know of today, they will tell one or two quotes they memorised to keep them tough when the going gets tough.

So, go and grab one from the nearest library or buy one from Amazon and notice how positively it will affect your outlook towards life.
