1. Gather the Utensils Necessary for Making Pancakes

The last thing that you will want while cooking is to be running helter skelter looking for the right utensil. That could make a lot of things to go wrong (think burnt pancakes).

So, in order to make pancakes, you are going to be needing these utensils listed below.

2. Gather the Recipes for Pancakes

I know, just like all things connected with cooking, there could be variations in the recipe.

However, it must be noted that there are some good old fashioned pancake recipes which you must use.

3. Baking powder

You obviously don't want lumps and clumps to be in your final batter. So, here's what you should do.

Get a sifter and sift the flour and baking powder. Of course, there should be a sieve at the end of the sifter to collect the particles. After that, add salt and sugar to the flour and baking powder.

The next step will be adding the egg and the melted butter. While doing that, ensure that the egg and melted butter don't get splattered across the surface of the bowl.

Mix all of them in such a way that they will all become one. You should only stop when it's feeling smooth.


Light the gas cooker, stove or anything that supplies you heat for cooking.

 Place a frying pan containing a little amount of oil on top of it. The heat on the frying pan should not be too much (otherwise your pancakes will get burnt).

Once the pan and the oil inside it heats up a bit, add the batter (the mixture in the bowl).

It is recommended by expert cooks to be adding only 1/4 of the batter to make one pancake.

If the colour of the batter changes to golden after being heated for some time, then it's ready to be served.
